Wood Architecture is an idea that began with a question.  "How to grow a better tree?"  It is the continuing search for that answer which led to the realization that all of the variables affecting a plant, from being grown in the nursery to maintained in the landscape, can be traced through every hand which has touched it.  From this idea came the realization that the overall health of a landscape starts long before shovels hit the ground.  Long term sustainability of the built landscape depends heavily, not only on the thought and care of the design, and implementation in field, but also on the quality of the materials being installed and grown.

The use of plants differs depending on the desired outcome.  The architecture of a plant remains the same.  The only difference being that of the preferred end result.  With over 20 years of experience in the disciplines of arboriculture, horticulture, landscape architecture and construction management, the people at Wood Architecture came together with one mission in mind, to create landscapes that can survive the test of time while exceeding the clients expectations.
